In pursuit of ensuring that its business is conducted sustainably, San Miguel Brewery Hong Kong Limited (“SMBHK”) has committed to source goods and services from suppliers who share its core values and integrate them into their own operations.  To this end, SMBHK works to build relationships with suppliers who cultivate safe working environments, promote dignity and respect for their employees and advance responsible environmental practices.

To ensure that its suppliers conduct their businesses consistent with SMBHK’s principles and values, SMBHK has adopted this Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”), which outlines the standards that SMBHK expects its suppliers to espouse.

This Code applies to all suppliers who deal with SMBHK.

STANDARDS

LABOR PRACTICES
¡@
- Employment – Suppliers must not use any form of forced, coerced or bonded labor, or be engaged in human trafficking or exploitation.

- Working Age – Suppliers must not employ any person under the minimum employment legal age under applicable laws and should not be younger than 15 years of age in any circumstance.

- Fair and Equal Treatment – Employment must be based on suitability for a job. Employees must not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of gender, race, nationality, age, marital status, maternal status, sexual orientation, religion or disability.

- Compensation and Working Hours – Employee compensation and working hours must comply with applicable wage and working hour labor laws. Wages must be paid promptly and overtime must be compensated according to applicable laws.

- Industrial Relations – Suppliers must have in place communications procedures that allow employees to raise concerns and complaints with management.

ETHICAL CONDUCT

- Suppliers must operate with high ethical standards and must not be involved in bribery, corruption and fraud.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
¡@
- Suppliers must promote and maintain safe and healthy working environment. Adequate policies, procedures, systems and training must be provided to ensure safety of employees.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
¡@
- Suppliers must conduct their operations in such manner as to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, protect the environment and promote efficient use of natural resources.

- Suppliers must have appropriate systems in place to measure, evaluate and mitigate adverse environmental impact of their operations.

RESPONSIBILITY. TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

- Suppliers must be transparent in their policies, processes, and standards which govern their operations and which are related to their compliance with the Code.
¡@
- Suppliers must safeguard and protect information provided by SMBHK by keeping it secure, limiting access to such information, and avoiding disclosure of such information to third parties, unless authorized by SMBHK.

- Supplier must allow SMBHK or its third-party representative access to facilities and sites related thereto, to assess and monitor its compliance with the Code.
¡@
- Should a supplier be unable to comply with the Code, a corrective action plan must be put in place and the supplier must actively progress towards compliance.
